The On-Site Advantage: Return-to-Work and Stay-at-Work Solutions

One of the main advantages to our unique approach to industrial wellness is that we are a therapy-driven team. There are other vendors that utilize rehabilitation clinicians, but they stifle their services into a very narrow representation of their expertise (such as only using them for pre-employment physicals).

Why would you want a physical therapist and/or certified athletic trainer on-site?

Advantages for the employee:

·         Already know and have a relationship with their clinician. This means if Sandy is working at your worksite, Sandy evaluates you when you start noticing pain, discomfort, or fatigue; Sandy refers you to the doctor if she thinks it is necessary, and Sandy follows up with your therapy.  Because Sandy actually knows what you do at work, and goes to your work area and helps you re-adjust your chair so your more comfortable, and shows you stretches you can do without stopping your job, and….(we can go on and on!)

·         You don’t have to leave work to go to therapy. You can complete it before or after work, or during a break.

·         Money. No co-pay. No missed work. No travel across town for an appointment. Fewer appointments for the sole purpose of obtaining a referral to physical therapy, because we’re already there.

Advantages for the employer:

·         Employees don’t need to miss work for evaluation and treatment.

·         Employees are treated earlier, often times avoiding having to see a physician or outside provider.

·         Programs can often be designed so the employee can continue their normal job with little to no modification while they recover.

·         Decrease health insurance premium.

·         Because the clinician is familiar with the job demands, any rehab/maintenance programs are custom-tailored for the worker, which gets them back sooner and minimizes risk of re-injury. This allows us to allow workers to return to work more quickly, or develop stay-at-work programs.

·         Improved employee morale. Your employees know that there well-being is important, and with the decreased stress (emotional and financial) of an accessible team to help with their injuries and health, they can be more present and productive.

·         Keeps OSHA Reportable injuries lower; preventative efforts can result in many work-related

injuries being managed within the OSHA First-Aid guidelines.

·         Injury prevention training, ergonomic evaluations, job analysis, post-offer screenings, first aid/CPR training, healthy lifestyle and health condition education, all on-site with professionals you know and trust.
