As an athletic trainer, I get asked about what I do all the time. In the same breath, I also get told what I do as an athletic trainer. The conversation usually goes something like this:

So, “You’re an athletic trainer? …. that’s why you work out all the time.”

“You’re an athletic trainer? …. so, you’re responsible for giving football players water.”

Post-Offer and Pre-Employment testing showed an 18 to 1 cost savings, in the Journal Work.

A 33% injury rate was reported when pre-hire applicants are not screened v. a 3% injury rate when screened, according to a study in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine.

In a study of 18 different industries, a 68.2% reduction in work injuries was reported when functional testing is implemented.

The average cost per injury was reduced from $1433 to $322 with a properly implemented post-offer and pre-employment testing program, according to the Journal Spine.
