Job Summary: Occupational Medical Assistant will work in conjunction with Occupational Health Nurse to conduct Hearing Tests and other vital sign assessments.

The Occupational Medical Assistant will be instrumental in providing a variety of support functions for a large employer. The Occupational Medical Assistant delivers quality care by offering excellent customer service by participating in a team centered approach towards occupational health and safety/. Collaboration with the Occupational Health Nurse regarding patient care, proficiency in medical terminology, providing clerical and patient related support in the functional areas of record keeping, scheduling, and utilizing knowledge of office policy and procedure, verification of patient demographics, patient record filing and retention. 

Completing hearing screens to support the hearing conservation program will be a primary responsibility of this role.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum One (1) year experience in direct patient care, additional years of experience preferred. CAOHC Certification is strongly desired. Excellent computer skills, including creating and editing spreadsheets. BLS / CPR certification. Possess exceptional communication skills, ability to get along well with others, positive attitude, critical thinking skills, and independent decision making skills.

Position is between 24 and 40 hours per week. Schedule begins around 6-7am; schedule must be established, but it can be somewhat flexible based upon availability.

Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. TRS Wellness leads by example and we do not employ tobacco users.
